  • Administrative Assistant – 5 days (32 hours per week)

    Seeking organized and passionate individual to join our Admin Team!

    • Day to day office operations of the church office

      • Handling incoming phone calls and the front door

      • Able to greet guests (vendors, resource assistance, and ready to answer questions, give prayer and/or spiritual encouragement)

    • Communications – Make and receive phone calls / send mailings (all church communications)

    • Church database – Weekly/Monthly data entry; pull reports and basic organization and knowledge of spreadsheets as it relates to people and teams in support of events and gatherings.

    • Supplies inventory and purchasing for office, facility, kitchen, main campus.

    • Full Administrative support to the church Administrator and Event Planner for all church Annual Events & Big Sundays.

    • Administrative support as needed by other departments for special projects.

    NextGen Ministry (Kids, Youth, Young Adults)

    Reports to: Kids Pastor, Youth Pastor, and NextGen Pastor

    Position Summary

    The NextGen Administrative Assistant at Oceanway Church serves as both an administrative leader and a

    hands-on ministry support team member. This full-time role ensures strong organization, communication, and

    operational excellence across NextGen ministries while actively assisting during weekly services, ministry

    programs, and special events.

    This position requires strong organizational ability, adaptability, relational awareness, and a heart for serving

    the next generation, families, and ministry leaders.

    Primary Responsibilities

    ● Administrative Leadership

    ● Manage calendars, scheduling, ministry communications, and coordination

    ● Assist with planning and execution of events, retreats, camps, and outreach initiatives

    ● Maintain attendance records, databases, forms, and ministry documentation

    ● Prepare reports, presentations, and ministry materials

    ● Support volunteer onboarding communication, scheduling, and follow-up

    ● Assist with purchasing, expense tracking, and budget organization

    ● Help coordinate parent, student, and leader communication across ministries

    Service & Event Ministry Support

    ● Provide on-site assistance during weekly services and NextGen ministry environments (Kids, Youth,

    Young Adults)

    ● Help coordinate volunteers, leaders, and logistics during ministry activities

    ● Support event setup, teardown, supplies, and environment readiness

    ● Help troubleshoot needs quickly during live ministry moments

    Communication & Coordination

    ● Ensure consistent communication as directed by the Pastoral staff

    ● Assist with ministry calendars, timelines, and project tracking systems

    ● Assist with promotional communication, reminders, and follow-through

    ● Support collaboration across all NextGen departments

    Work Schedule & Availability

    ● Regular office hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM–4:00 PM

    ● Sunday ministry hours: Approximately 8:00 AM–2:00 PM to support services and NextGen environments

    ● All NextGen services including evening and morning services

    ● These hours may extend at the discretion of the Pastoral staff based on service flow, events, ministry seasons, and church programming

    ● Work schedules may vary during high-demand periods to support organizational priorities

    Purpose of the Role

    This position supports the mission of Oceanway Church by helping create organized, welcoming, and

    spiritually impactful environments where children, students, young adults, families, and leaders can grow in their faith. Administrative excellence combined with active ministry presence helps multiply the impact of the NextGen ministry.

  • Ministry Support Position: Social Media Content Creator

    Purpose

    This role helps share the story of what God is doing at Oceanway Church each week.

    Through simple, timely social media content, the goal is to invite people to weekend

    services, capture meaningful moments from Sunday gatherings, and keep our church

    community engaged throughout the week.

    Weekly Responsibilities

    Weekend Promotional Post (Thursday–Saturday)

    • Create one post inviting people to the upcoming weekend service

    • Use Pictures, Reels, Stories – A variety of means.

    • Write caption and call-to-action

    • Design a graphic or short video if needed

    • Schedule the post on church social platforms

    Estimated time: 1–1.5 hours

    Sunday Stories Coverage

    • Capture moments during Sunday services

    • Post 4–7 Instagram/Facebook stories throughout the morning

    • Share highlights such as worship, message moments, and community life

    • Light editing and captioning as needed

    Estimated time: 1.5–2.5 hours

    Monday Recap Reel

    • Select clips from Sunday service

    • Edit a short recap reel

    • Write caption and post Monday morning

    Estimated time: 1.5–2 hours

    Time Commitment

    This role typically requires 4–6 hours per week.Compensation

    The contractor will be compensated using a monthly retainer structure.

    Rate:

    $25 per hour equivalent

    Weekly Payment:

    $125 per week

    Monthly Payment:

    $500 per month

    Payment will be issued monthly unless otherwise agreed upon.

    Optional Add-On Services

    Additional work outside the standard weekly package may be requested and

    compensated separately.

    • Additional Reels $75 – $150 per reel

    • Special Event Coverage $100 – $200 per event

    • Additional Content Creation: To be agreed upon in advance, depending on the

    scope.
